To the Editor,
Friends and neighbors in Monroe — I have worked with Terry Rooney for the last few years as a member of the EMS Building Committee. In addition to having a take-charge approach to getting things done and always being present to lead our meetings, there was another attribute he exhibited that stood out: Every time something had to be adjusted
due to delays or an unplanned event during construction, Terry always pushed back on any added costs.
His focus was always on the taxpayers in Monroe. He would say, “that would increase the tax burden on the homeowners in town — find another way.” By always being mindful of how things would impact the people in Monroe, he definitely earned my respect — and my vote this November.
