Police Reports: Thefts of catalytic converters, batteries, an Amazon delivery

MONROE, CT — Police responded to reports of three thefts in the past week.

On Nov. 15, two catalytic converters were reported stolen off of a white Ford van parked in a commercial parking lot at 600 Main St. Police said each catalytic converter was valued at $500.

On Nov. 16, batteries were reported stolen from four chippers at Bartlett Tree Service at 501 Pepper St. Police said the total cost of the batteries was estimated at $480.

On Nov. 17, a Sherman Circle resident reported the theft of an Amazon Prime delivery from the front steps.

Police said the victim received a notification that the package was delivered at 11:16 a.m., but while retrieving it, noticed a rip across the top of the box and nothing inside.
