MONROE, CT — An 18-year-old Monroe man was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and impairing the morals of a minor on June 3, after drinking alcoholic beverages with two juveniles, according to police.
A neighbor on Bart Road called police about seeing a heavily intoxicated 15-year-old female laying on the grass on the side of the road with two males assisting her around 4:25 p.m., said police, adding the female was incoherent.
After a brief investigation, police determined the 18-year-old had been drinking with the juveniles and charged him. He was released on a promise to appear in court on June 14.
A package, but no phone
A local woman received a delivery of a new cellphone and cover on May 24, but did not open it right away. When she did, she noticed the package seemed to have been opened and resealed and that no phone or cover was inside, according to a police complaint lodged on June 6.
Police said the larceny resulted in a total loss of about $800.
