MONROE, CT — A local man was charged with DUI Friday afternoon, after a woman reported seeing a suspicious vehicle at a stop sign, at the intersection of Hammertown and High Rock roads, with a driver who appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel.
Police officers responding to the complaint found a Honda Accord and its driver, William Lee, 49, at the scene. Lee told officers the woman asked him who he was and what he was doing, and would not let him go, according to the report.
Police said Lee spoke with a slurred speech and had pinpoint pupils, so he was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he did not perform to standard.
Lee was charged and released on $500 bond for an Oct. 18 court date.
