MONROE, CT – A 34-year-old Maple Drive man was charged in an alleged attack on his girlfriend’s daughter early Saturday morning.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and third-degree strangulation. Bond was set at $75,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Police said the victim, who had a bloody nose and minor injuries to her neck, refused to be taken to the hospital by Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Services personnel.
Stolen mailbox
A Winthrop Place resident reported her mailbox missing Friday afternoon. Police said the post was still in the ground, but the mailbox was gone. The estimate to replace it is $20.
