Photos: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s Apple Festival is back

St. Peter's Apple Festival has shopping, hot food and baked goods, but fresh apples are its staple.

MONROE, CT — Visitors to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s annual Apple Festival Saturday morning sunk their teeth into fresh apples, pies and other baked goods, and some enjoyed breakfast sandwiches with bacon hot off the griddle on opening day.

The event had live music on the Green, at the corner of Monroe Turnpike and Fan Hill Road, where tents occupied by crafters and food vendors, offering a day shopping.

The festival is still going on today (Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
