MONROE, CT — Masuk Panthers football players tackled dirt on cars, trucks and SUVs, soaping it up with sponges, hosing it down with steady streams of water and toweling the vehicles off during a car wash fundraiser in the Monroe Elementary School parking lot Sunday.
The players wore white T-shirts saying, “Team First” on the backs.
The team also held a clothing drive at Masuk High School last Saturday and is planning to host a Pancake Breakfast in their school cafeteria on Sunday, June 12, from 8 a.m. until noon.
Stacks of pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage will be on the menu and donations are welcome. The breakfasts, which also include coffee and juice.
The Masuk Football Club will use all money raised from the fundraisers to defray the costs of transportation, equipment and meals.
