What do you like most about teaching?

I love watching my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally as the school year progresses. I strive to form a strong classroom community and it’s really rewarding to witness my students grow into leaders and support one another on their academic journeys.

It’s also extremely fulfilling to see students take ownership of their learning and strengthen their intrinsic motivation as they work towards their goals.

What are you most looking forward to at your new job in Monroe?

Up until about a year ago, I was part of a huge school district. When I came to Monroe, I loved how small and personable this district is. I am excited to be part of such a close-knit community that is full of compassionate and supportive stakeholders who have the students’ best interests at heart.
