MONROE, CT — Monroe residents survived severe flood damage, a female firefighter made history, an actor filmed a movie in town, and a model made her mark in 2024. A longtime Monroe couple was inducted into the Connecticut Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, and other stories honored notable residents who were lost way too soon.
