Monroe’s Finest serve Roberto’s Restaurant patrons for Special Olympics CT

It was a successful night, as Monroe police officers raised money for Special Olympics Connecticut through their annual Tip-A-Cop event at Roberto's Restaurant.

MONROE, CT — Police officers refilled water and brought out fresh bread, while assisting waitstaff at Roberto’s Restaurant, 505 Main St., during their annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser Friday, benefitting Special Olympics Connecticut.

Diners could place donations in an envelop and leave it at their table from 6 to 9 p.m.

Among the members of the public who supported the cause were police officers’ families and friends, Police Chief John Salvatore and Monroe Police Commission members.
