MONROE, CT — A detour will be posted on Pastors Walk, while Aquarion does a main replacement, from Bradford Drive to Wiltan Road, according to a traffic impact notice from Monroe Public Works.
Access will be restricted to emergency vehicles, school buses and local residents only. The DPW asks other drivers to seek alternate routes.
The water main project is among the roadwork scheduled to be done from now through Aug. 8. Other projects should have a “moderate” impact on traffic, with lane closures and alternating traffic possible – expect some delays, the notice says.
Road restoration work will be performed on Gay Bower Road, from Route 111 to Woodlawn Road, and on Pepperidge Road, from Cross Hill Road to a cul-de-sac.
Drainage work will be done on River Drive, from Turkey Roost Road to a cul-de-sac, and on Georges Lane, from River Drive to a cul-de-sac.
Utility drainage construction will be done on Pepper Street, from Grant Road to the north end of Route 25.
