MONROE, CT — The following information was released by the Registrars of Voters Office to assist voters for the municipal election, to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Voter registration deadlines and special sessions:
All four regular polling places will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
- District 1: Fawn Hollow Elementary School, 345 Fan Hill Road
- District 2: Stepney Elementary School, 180 Old Newtown Road
- District 3: Monroe Elementary School, 375 Monroe Turnpike
- District 4: Masuk High School, 1014 Monroe Turnpike

If you are not currently registered to vote and would like to do so, the deadline for registering for the
upcoming Municipal Election is Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
The easiest and quickest way to register to vote is online, if you have a valid Connecticut driver’s license, learner’s permit or non-driver photo I.D. card issued by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. Click here to register online.
You may also print a voter registration card from our website and mail into the Registrars of Voters’ Office. Mailed applications must be postmarked by October 31, 2023. Or stop by the Registrars of Voters’ Office during regular office hours (Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Thursdays 12 to 3 p.m.
The Registrars of Voters will also be holding a special voter registration session on Tuesday, October
31, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 8pm in the Registrars of Voters’ Office at Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road, Monroe. Please bring I.D. and proof of residence.
Registration for the upcoming Municipal Election will be closed after October 31, except for those whose
qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since October 31. Residents in these categories only may register to vote in person at our limited registration session on Monday, November 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Registrars of Voters’ Office.
Election Day Registration for new, unregistered voters will be available in the Council Chambers at Town
Hall, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. I.D. and proof of residence are required.
