UPDATE: As of 10:46 p.m., the number of customers without power had dropped to 141 or 1.76 percent of Eversource’s 8,009 Monroe customers.
UPDATE: The tree on Hattertown was removed after an Eversource crew made it safe.
MONROE, CT — A fallen tree ripped down wires on Hattertown Road, at Indian Ledge, so officers are detouring traffic on a closed section of the roadway, and a downed tree on Webb Circle should be removed within minutes, according to police.
Damage from tonight’s wind storm also caused a partial lane closure on Judd Road, just in from Route 25 (Main Street), according to Lt. Michael Sweeney.
“There are isolated power outages all over town due to transformers blowing,” Sweeney said Wednesday evening, adding homeowners should call their power company regarding outages, unless there is a matter of personal safety.
Eversource customers can report outages online at www.eversource.com, or by calling 800-286-2000.
As of 6:25 p.m., around 851 homes were without power, or 10.6 percent of Eversource’s 8,009 Monroe customers, according to the company’s Outage Map.
