Monroe Cub Scout Pack 162 holds Blue & Gold Ceremony

Cub Scouts cross over to Boy Scout troops during a ceremony in the Jockey Hollow Middle School auditorium Sunday.

MONROE, CT — Families of Cub Scout Pack 162 celebrated the annual 2025 Blue & Gold Ceremony inside the Jockey Hollow Middle School auditorium on Sunday evening.

Videos featured memories of scouts camping, receiving trophies at the annual Pinewood Derby, and marching in a parade among their many activities over the past year.

It was a day to reflect on the badges they earned throughout their scouting journeys and to celebrate their advancements through the ranks, along with hosting crossing over ceremonies for those ready to join Boy Scout troops.

It was also a time to thank all of the scout leaders, assistant scout leaders, volunteers and parents for their support.

Three longtime leaders, who are leaving Cub Scout Pack 162, receiving special recognition were Den Leader Stephen Murphy and assistant den leaders Jason Grady and Annie Scarano.
