Monroe blood drive to honor community volunteer David Wolfe

MONROE, CT — David Wolfe, a Monroe resident and volunteer to many community organizations, including the Rotary Club of Monroe, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer (GIST) in 2020. His treatment included a recent surgery, requiring 21 units of blood and other blood products.

The Rotary Club is asking people to donate blood in Wolfe’s honor. A blood drive will be held in the Masuk High School cafeteria, 1014 Monroe Turnpike, on Friday, Aug. 16, where blood will be drawn from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The blood drive is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Monroe.
