MONROE, CT — A combination of returning swimmers and some impressive newcomers will look to carry the Masuk High girls swim and dive team to a successful campaign.
Captains are Jocelyn Allen, Carly Jordan, Abby Kirberger and Lucia Morales.
“We have a large group of talented freshmen joining us, many of whom are year round club swimmers,” Head Coach Emily DeMace said.
The newcomers, along with returning team members, have been working hard in preseason looking to earn spots in the lineup.
The Panthers have a trio of divers: Carly Jordan, Eliza Palmieri and Siobhan Riordan.
“We are looking to excel, better ourselves, have fun and hopefully win some meets. We have a solid foundation and we will continue to grow and better ourselves as a whole,” DeMace said.
Assistant Coach Jenna Manion added, “we are setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives for each individual athlete.”
Competition begins Thursday, Sept. 5, when Stratford visits the Panthers at 5 p.m. as the Panthers begin things with five consecutive home meets.
