MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s baseball team beat visiting Notre Dame-Fairfield 9-0 on Monday. Justin Feinstein pitched five innings for the win, striking out five and allowing only two hits. Quinn McGuire pitched a scoreless final two innings to close out the game.
Feinstein added two hits and two runs batted in at the plate. Ryan Fedeli had three hits, scored three runs and showed his speed on the bases with four steals. Chris Welch had a hit and two RBI, Greg Nivison added an RBI double and Jackson Zylick hit a two-run triple.
The Panthers will be back in action this Wednesday, April 16, with a visit to New Milford at 4:15 p.m. and return home Thursday to play Bethel, also at 4:15.
