Masuk High’s girls tennis team won a pair of early- and mid-April road matches, defeating host New Fairfield 4-3 on April 10 and Joel Barlow of Redding 5-2 on April 12.
In the win over New Fairfield, top singles player Lexia Goldberg Friedman won 6-1, 6-1 and No. 2 singles player Elizabeth Teixeira won 6-2, 6-1. In doubles play, the No. 2 tandem of Samantha Davoren and Madison Poisson won 6-1, 6-1 and the No. 3 duo of Mackenzie Stepkoski and Prisha Saxena won 6-1, 6-2.
Against Barlow, Teixeira and Lelia Giampe won at third and fourth singles, respectively. All three doubles teams were victorious: Chloe Norton and Davoren, Olivia Beloblosky and Saxena; Ava DeDonato and Ava O’Leary.
