The Masuk High girls soccer team hasn’t just been winning, the Panthers have been winning big. Masuk extended its winning streak to a season-best three games with a 5-0 victory at Immaculate on Thursday, Sept. 29.
That was the closest of the three non-contests; the Panthers blanked host Kolbe Cathedral 9-0 on Sept. 22 and crushed visiting Stratford 8-0 on Sept. 27.
Samantha Dube scored six goals in those three most recent wins. Hannah Dorney netted a trio of goals in those games.
Goalkeeper Elissa Campos has held a clean sheet over the course of four straight. This marks four consecutive tilt without surrendering a goal, including a scoreless draw with Pomperaug on Sept. 20.
“We are seeing a lot of our younger players stepping up as well in these matches. The overall team dynamic looks great and I cannot wait for our match (Monday, Oct. 3 versus Bunnell) at 7 p.m. at Masuk High School,” Masuk Coach Kate Pellegrino said.
