WESTON — Masuk High’s girls basketball team jumped out to a 15-7 lead after one quarter of play en route to a 51-32 triumph at South-West Conference foe Weston on Thursday night. With the win, the Panthers improved to 6-1 heading into a Monday, Jan. 8, visit to Notre Dame-Fairfield.
Masuk led 26-14 at halftime and built on its lead to carry a commanding 36-17 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Grace Kearney led all scorers with 19 points including 7 for 7 from the foul line. Olivia Garrity dropped in 12, Hannah Fagan scored seven, Dani Dube and Bailey Bajda both scored six and Charlotte Pinto added three.
