MONROE, CT — Having bounced back from 10-5 loss to New Fairfield with back-to-back victories, Masuk High’s girls lacrosse team will look to keep it going with some winning ways on and off the field.
The Panthers, following a visit to Fairfield Warde on Monday at 7 p.m., will host Stratford-Bunnell on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. That game features support for the charity One Love to bring awareness and support to positive relationships among teens. For information, click here.
After the loss at New Fairfield, the Panthers rebounded with victories over Joel Barlow (a 9-3 triumph at home) and Immaculate (20-8) on the road. Masuk was led by Amelia Logan, who netted four goals in each of the two victories, and Juliana Pagano with two goals against Barlow and a game-high five goals against Immaculate.
In goal for the Panthers during the three-game stretch was field hockey standout Val Vilca, who compiled 21 saves, nine of which came against Immaculate. Lauren and Samantha Henry kept the draw control battle heavily tilted in Masuk’s favor.
