FAIRFIELD, CT — It’s been quite a start to the year for the Masuk High girls basketball team. The Panthers won their fourth straight game and improved to 7-1 overall with a 54-47 win at Notre Dame-Fairfield on Monday night.
The Panthers trailed 11-7 after one quarter and seized a 26-23 halftime lead. They pulled ahead 42-34 heading to the fourth.
Bailey Bajda led the way with 15 points, including a sharp 7-for-10 performance from the free throw line. Dani Dube had 11 and Grace Kearney and Grace Sheppard both scored nine. Charlotte Pinto dropped in six and Hannah Fagan and Olivia Garrity each tacked on two points.
Masuk returns home for the next three contests, including two on back-to-back nights as Jonathan Law visits Wednesday and Pomperaug comes to town for a battle of the Panthers on Thursday, both at 7 p.m.
