MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s girls and boys tennis teams both dropped hard-fought matches, 4-3, to Brookfield on Monday — the girls at their home courts at Wolfe Park and the boys on the road.
Winners for the girls were top singles player Lexi Goldberg Friedman (6-1, 6-3), No. 2 Meghan Velky (6-1, 6-2) and No. 4 Elizabeth Teixeira (6-2, 6-4).
Both squads are back in action on Wednesday with the girls on the road to face Weston and the boys at home to take on Weston, both matches are at 3:45 p.m.
The girls carry a record of 6-3 into the match, and the boys are 5-3.
