WESTON, CT — The Masuk High football team went to Weston and delivered a 56-6 win on Friday. With the victory the Panthers improved to 7-1.
Quarterback Aaron Champagne completed 11 of 12 pass attempts for 317 yards and six touchdowns. He also had a 15-yard rush.
Gavin Walker had three catches for 91 yards and a touchdown. Max Viglione had 49 receiving yards and a TD.
Shane Walker played well on both sides of the ball with a trio of catches for 122 yards and three TDs to go along with two tackles and an interception.
Steven Curtin had two receptions for 11 yards and his first varsity TD. Tanner Walker had three catches for 53 yards and a score.
Nick Fox had six tackles, two for losses of yardage. Billy Alvarado also had six tackles and two quarterback sacks. Daniel Balestriere recovered a fumble. Deavan Jean-Baptiste had a sack. Aidan Diaz had four tackles and two sacks.
Masuk returns home Friday, Nov. 15, for a showdown with Brookfield at 7 p.m. Brookfield is 7-0 heading into Saturday’s clash with Joel Barlow of Redding.
