REDDING, CT — Masuk High’s boys’ basketball team went on the road and defeated Joel Barlow 54-48 on Friday.
Sean Minnick scored 21 points to lead the Panthers. Brandon Francisco scored 10, Matt Domenichelli dropped in eight, Frank Piscitelli scored six, Nick McCauley had five.
Coach Pete Szklarz’s Panthers got back into the win column following a tough 54-50 setback at Stratford on Jan. 10.
The Panthers will host Cheshire in a game originally scheduled for the Masuk Holiday Tournament when the Rams come to Monroe on Monday, Jan. 17, for a 3 p.m. tip. This kicks off a week of three home tilts for the Panthers. Masuk hosts Weston Jan. 18 and Notre Dame-Fairfield Jan. 21 — both at 7 p.m.
