Masuk baseball team comes back to tame Tigers

Justin Feinstein contributed solid pitching and hitting in Masuk's 5-4 comeback win over Ridgefield.

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s baseball team came back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the visiting Ridgefield Tigers on Wednesday.

Justin Feinstein pitched 5 2/3 innings for Masuk striking out 10, while allowing four hits and four runs (two earned).

In the bottom of the sixth down 4-2, the Panthers tied the game when Steven Curtin hit a two-run single.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Colin Hope drew a one out walk, stole second base, advanced to third on a wild pitch and then scored the winning run on an RBI fielder’s choice by Carson Falcone.

Quinn McGuire pitched a hitless final 1 1/3 innings for Masuk to earn the win.

Feinstein had two singles and two RBI. Hope and Chris Welch each contributed singles and scored a run.

Peter Karloutsos had a single, two doubles, an RBI and a run scored for Ridgefield.

Masuk returns to the diamond on Saturday, April 13, when Southington visit at 12 p.m.
