BEVERLY, MASS. — Colin Meropoulos, of Monroe, continues to be a dominant defensive force for the Endicott College football program. He was among 10 members of the Gulls to earn All-Region honors from various outlets over the last few weeks.
Meropoulos was named the D3football.com All-Region I Defensive Player of the Year, a first in his school’s 20-year history.
Meropoulos, who is a defensive tackle, made the first team defense of D3Football.Com’s All Region 1 Teams, as well as the New England Football Writers D2/D3 All-New England team.
Meropoulos was D3football.com All-Region I Defensive Player of the Year and the first defensive tackle in program history to claim D3football.com All-Region First Team honors.
He also is the first defensive tackle to receive All-Region Defensive Player of the Year accolades in the Endicott football program’s history and the second student-athlete to garner All-Region Defensive Player of the Year honors from any organization, joining Endicott Hall of Famer Kevin Eagan ’12 on the illustrious list.
