MONROE, CT — A March Madness contest will pit Monroe businesses against each other in a friendly competition next month. The online event, sponsored by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, will promote businesses in different categories on participating Facebook pages, where residents can cast their votes.
A new category will be voted on daily from Thursday, Mar 18, through Wednesday, March 31, 2021, with the winner announced in a Facebook Live broadcast on the Monroe CT Real Estate Connection page.
One random voter will be selected to win a $25 gift card to their favorite Monroe establishment, generously provided by the Chamber’s sponsors. That sponsor will be acknowledged for supporting the contest and providing the prize.
Then the video will be shared across the other participating Facebook pages:

- Monroe, CT Residents
- Monroe Parents, CT
- Monroe, CT Moms
- Monroe Chatter
- iShop Monroe
As a sponsor, a business’s contact information/logo will be prominently displayed with the day’s category and promoted on these Facebook pages.
Each day Monroe Residents will be invited to vote for the “Best of the Best” in one of 14 categories whereby one random voter will be selected to win a $25 gift card to their favorite Monroe establishment, generously provided by the sponsors.
