Lori Ann Soltesz’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered

Lori Ann Soltesz, 54, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, surrounded by her loving family at Griffin Hospital. Born to William Maskiell and Barbara Maskiell on April 9, 1970, in Boynton Beach, Fla., Lori’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

She is predeceased by her husband, John Michael, and her stepmother, Cynthia Maskiell. Lori is survived by her three cherished children: Kristin (Thomas Severino), John Alexander, and Samantha (Jeffrey DuBail).

She is also remembered by her brother, William Maskiell Jr. (Nicole), nephew William Maskiell III, her sister, Amanda (Chad) Kohen, and niece Hannah, who all hold her memory dear.

A long-time resident of Monroe, Lori dedicated much of her adult life to raising her children and working at several local pharmacies, where she forged lasting connections with countless members of the community. Throughout her life, Lori faced two cancer diagnoses with remarkable courage and resilience, emerging victorious through her unwavering strength and determination.

Known for her open-door policy, Lori was a mother figure and confidant to many young adults; her home was a haven for those seeking support and guidance. Above all, the family wishes for Lori to be remembered as the bubbly, sassy, strong, sometimes stubborn and incredibly independent woman she was.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home providing an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate Lori’s life and legacy.
