SHELTON, CT — Christian LaBella reached the 100-point milestone with a goal and two assists in the Masuk High hockey team’s 4-4 tie with Wilton at the Sports Center on Wednesday night.
Luke Kondub scored twice and assisted on Masuk’s other two net-finders, Tommy DaPonte had a goal, Graham Cybart had two assists and Kyle Riccitelli added an assist.
LaBella’s 100th point was an assist on DaPonte’s power play goal that put Masuk up 3-1 in the first period.
The Panthers were coming off a 6-3 loss at Hall of West Hartford on Monday. LaBella had two goals and Teddy Walsh scored his first career high school goal. Kondub, Walsh, Riccitelli, DaPonte and Jaxson Clark had assists.
Maddex LaFountain was in net for both games.
The Panthers lost nine seniors from last year’s team, along with Ryan Ewald.
Key returning forwards are LaBella, Kondub, Cybart, DaPonte, Chase DeSanto and Sean Pardue. Top defenders back are Connor Kehlenbach, Riccitelli and Noah Comacho. LaFountain is back between the pipes.
New players to watch include forward Teddy Walsh and defensemen Parker Driscoll and Clark.
The next game is on the road against Branford at Northford Ice Pavilion Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
