MONROE, CT — Ghosts, dragons, princesses and superheroes were among the costumes on display for Edith Wheeler Memorial Library’s annual children’s Halloween Parade Friday morning.
Employees and department heads at Monroe Town Hall, many wearing costumes of their own, handed out candy to the young visitors who had marched down the sidewalk from the library.
The procession continued to the Monroe Police Department, where a gorilla helped Lt. Michael Sweeney give out candy. A table had glow sticks and slime for the visitors.
“The Reeses are the most popular,” Sweeney said, making note of what to have more of next year.
