To the Editor:
I enthusiastically support Nick Kapoor in the upcoming special election of State Representative for the 112th District in Monroe and Newtown.
In addition to knowing Nick for many years now through the Monroe Democrats, I also had the privilege of working with him in a financial capacity for 8 years at I-Engineering in Shelton.
I can say without hesitation that Nick stands by his work and his words, and brings his tireless energy, analytical thinking, financial/statistical expertise, and organizational skills into everything he does. He is extremely thorough in making sure he understands all the issues to be addressed in any situation and is always well- prepared, taking his commitments seriously.
Nick not only has a brilliant mind but also a giant heart. He is a genuine humanitarian, and that is reflected in both a global manner as well as his personal interactions and the way he cares for the feelings of others around him. I’ve seen him work cooperatively, patiently, and respectfully with members from both sides of the political aisle and everywhere in between.
As he always has, he will listen to his constituents’ concerns with real interest, and fight for us without being a rubber stamp. He already has experience not only serving the Town of Monroe on both the Town Council and the Board of Education, but also at the State level, by serving on the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities since 2017.
Nick understands the importance of protecting the environment, investing in education and infrastructure, and wise, well-planned spending. This is someone you want representing you in Hartford! Please vote for Nick Kapoor on April 13.
