MONROE, CT — Monroe Congregational Church is hosting its 49th annual Strawberry Festival this weekend after a one year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vendors’ booths are set up on the church green offering unique crafts for sale, as attendees enjoy live music and good food from the SWAT (Southern Wings and Things) truck, as well as the festival’s famous desserts, from its baked strawberry pies and biscuits to its shortcakes.
The festival continues today (Sunday) from noon to 5 p.m. A church service is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Monroe Congregational Church is located at 34 Church St.
