To the Editor:
I am State Representative Tony Scott and I’m running for reelection to represent Monroe, Easton and Trumbull for the 112th District in Hartford.
It has been a privilege to be your voice in Hartford for the past four years and I would be honored to have your support to continue in this role. Constituents have entrusted me to represent their best interests and I am proud of the many accomplishments I have made on behalf of our communities.
I was motivated to run for office when my daughter, Addison, ran for Kid Governor four years ago. She wanted to make a change to help others, and it inspired me to do more to help my town, my district, and the state of Connecticut.
Attending community events and talking with our neighbors has guided my work in the legislature. I take your concerns and thoughts to Hartford so we can focus on the changes that will make a positive impact in our communities.
If reelected, I will focus on lowering the cost of living in Connecticut so all of our children can afford to continue living here after college and seniors can retire here. I will continue to push for utility reforms, tax cuts, maintaining local control, and curbing unfunded mandates that get passed down to municipalities.
