MONROE, CT — Harmony Grange, 103 Hurd Ave., is hosting its annual Spring Fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature Mother’s Day crafts for kids, so they can make a handmade gift for mom on her special day.
The fair will also have a plant sale, tag sale and bake sale. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. All funds received will be used to support the Grange building and its many activities.
Located near the roundabout, Harmony Grange has a rich history dating back to the earliest establishment of the town of Monroe. Founded in 1867, it’s a community organization deeply rooted in agriculture.
The home of the Harmony Grange is an historic building erected in 1932. Previously known as the heart of Monroe, it still boasts a dance floor, a professional stage and a hall perfect for intimate social gatherings. Members of the community can still rent the facility for special occasions such as birthdays and baby showers.
