Francesca Testani, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital.
Born on January 26, 1935, in Frosinone, Italy, Francesca had lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for 66 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giovanni, in 1996. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Antonucci Testani and was also predeceased by her sisters, Pasqualina Piacentini and Vincenzina Santoro.
Francesca leaves behind her two loving sons: Enrico (Kimberly) of Monroe and Anthony (Carol) of Shelton. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Christie (Thomas) Varnes, Michael (Carolina) Testani, Ashley (Michael) DeKens, Brittany Testani (Nathaniel Indorf), and Jonathan Testani, who lovingly called her Nonnie. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Bianca, Everly, Harrison, Alessandra and Mason.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Spadaccino Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:15 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Shrine in Bridgeport. Followed by entombment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
