MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s wrestling team came from behind to defeat visiting Brookfield 30-26 for a Senior Night victory on Tuesday. Sophomore Ed Medaris pinned his heavyweight division counterpart, Joe Fuccillo, for six points and the team win.
Medaris finished his match with a third-period pin, following a takedown, in a time of 5:43.
Seniors Dan Dutkowski, Frank Sampieri and Nate Videira were celebrated by proud family, friends and teammates.
Videira won a decision in the 132 pound weight class and Billy Alvarado won his competition at 195.
Luke Longo (138), Maxton Busa (145), and Evan DeLeo (170) won by forfeit.
Masuk will compete in the South-West Conference championships, at New Milford High, this Saturday, Feb. 12.
