Frederick Pulaski Jr., 65, a lifetime Monroe resident, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, while surrounded by his family.
He was born in Bridgeport on November 27, 1957 to Frederick J. Pulaski Sr. and Ruth (Krafcsik) Pulaski and he went on to graduate from Masuk High School in 1975. “Freddy” was a skilled and talented carpenter who enjoyed decades of working with his “buddies”.
He enjoyed fishing with his sons, creating geodes for his family, reading L. Ron Hubbard and Jim Butcher and loved tackling any challenging puzzle he could find.
Above all, he was devoted to his father and spent his life dedicated to keeping the farm tradition alive on his family’s five generation farm. He was affectionately referred to by friends as “Farmer Fred”. In his 20s, he used his carpentry skills to build a horse barn on the farm, which he took great pride in.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and their two sons, Timothy Pulaski and his wife Courtney of Newington, and Stephen Pulaski of Naugatuck, as well as his two beautiful grandchildren, Nathan and Riley Pulaski.
He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Pulaski, his two sisters Barbara Wren and her husband Kevin of Cohasset, Mass., and Diane Hiller of Litchfield. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephew and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Frederick J. Pulaski Sr.
Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnipke in Monroe.
