MONROE, CT — A country breakfast will be served at Masuk High School this Saturday morning. The menu will include chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, tater tots and biscuits and gravy. Fresh fruit and pastries will also be served, along with hot and cold drinks.
The Monroe Playground Foundation welcomes the public to the fundraising event for the new Wolfe’s Den Playground at Wolfe Park. The guest list includes Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will pose with children for pictures.
The breakfast will be held in three seatings, from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m., 9:30 to 11 a.m. (which is sold out) and 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each. Proceeds will benefit the new playground. For tickets, click here.
Families are invited to visit and have a photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and can mail a letter directly to the North Pole. There will be raffle prizes, a Holiday Store filled with stocking stuffers and various Christmas themed items as well as the opportunity for kids to create their own Christmas ornament.
Entertainment at various times during the event will include the renowned Harmony on the Sound Chorus, a women’s Barbershop style chorus, as well as the Masuk High School Choir.
