MONROE, CT — Monroe Congregational Church will hold its annual Victorian Christmas Fair on Dec. 1, offering a plethora of activities and experiences for all ages.
The day will begin with an historical Worship Service in the Meetinghouse at 10 a.m.
Local artisans will showcase their creations in the Crafter Room from 1 to 5 p.m., offering unique options for last-minute gifts.
The Senior Pilgrim Fellowship will offer a selection of soups, baked goods, wreaths, and Advent kits for sale, with proceeds benefiting its summer mission trip.
Take a journey through time with historical tours of the beautifully adorned Meetinghouse, 34 Church St., while being serenaded by carolers from the acapella group Just Voices and other talented musicians.
For a $5 per person donation, receive a time-travel passport granting access to special areas of the fair.
Those going to the fair can marvel at the Victorian train display and allow the little ones to meet Father Christmas, who will collect new, unwrapped toys for Covenant to Care, a charitable organization supporting children and families in the region under DCF care.
Other activities include cookie decorating and crafting traditional tree ornaments.
The day culminates in a 5 p.m. tree lighting on the Center Green with neighbors from St. Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church.
