NEWTOWN, CT — Masuk High’s boys’ golf team improved to 8-2 this fall with a 165-176 win over host Newtown at Rock Ridge Country Club on Sept. 28.
Alex Guigno of Masuk and Trevor Hislop of Newtown shared medalist honors
each with a score of 39.
Brien Trimbach had a 40, John McIntyre and Justin Carriero both had a 43 and Colin Abbott had a 47 for the Panthers.
On Sept. 23, Masuk traveled to Ridgewood Country Club and shot a 173 to defeat Immaculate (190) and fall to Pomperaug (165) for the second time this fall. Trimbach earned medalist accolades against Immaculate with a 37.
Masuk had its Sept. 29 match with Pomperaug canceled and is scheduled to visit Bethel on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 3 pm.
