MONROE, Conn. — Edith Wheeler Memorial Library closed public access to its building to avoid large gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, one-on-one AARP tax assistance appointments will continue to take place for those who have an appointment scheduled.
Library books, DVDs and other materials will still be available to the public via a “Library-to-Go” pick-up service. Patrons who want to borrow materials can call the library at 203-452-2852 or send an email to [email protected].
Give staffers your name and library barcode and tell them what items you would like to check out. Library staff will pull the materials, check them out to you, and call to let you know when they are ready.
Library-to-Go hours are Monday to Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The schedule is subject to change.
Fines will not accrue while library access is limited.
