MONROE, CT — Masuk’s field hockey team shut out visiting Weston 1-0 on Monday. The team and fans supported the fight against cancer during this game.
Molly Kinahan scored and Georgia DaPonte and Mackenzie Sawyer limited Weston’s scoring chances.
Emma Troesser and Chiara Maier came up big in the midfield to keep the ball on the offensive half of the field for much of the contest. Charley Keppler and Molly Unis split time in goal for the combined shutout.
The Panthers have won three in a row and visit Pomperaug Wednesday at 7 p.m.
