The Masuk High hockey team skated to a 4-1 win over Wilton at Ridgefield’s Winter Garden Ice Rink on Monday, then took the STORMAC (Staples, Norwalk, Brien McMahon) co-op to overtime before falling 3-2 at Milford Ice Pavilion on Wednesday.

In the win over Wilton, Christian LaBella and Luke Kondub both scored twice. Kondub and Teddy Walsh each had two assists and LaBella, Graham Cybart and Connor Kelenbach had an assist each. Goaltender Maddex LaFountain was in net and limited Wilton to just that one tally.

Against STORMAC Chase DeSanto and LaBella scored power play goals, Kondub had two assists and Parker Driscoll and Kelenbach had assists. LaFountain made 30-plus saves.

A big difference-maker in the game, Masuk coaches noted, was that a Masuk score in regulation was missed by the officials. A tough loss for the Panthers (5-3-2) who will look to get back into the win column Saturday, Jan. 25, when Lyman Hall comes to the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton at 7:30 p.m.
