Masuk skates to deadlock and win

The Masuk High hockey team followed up a 1-1 tie with host Milford on Jan. 8 with a 5-0 win over the Suffield-Granby-Windsor Locks Wildcats at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton on Jan. 11.

In the tie at Milford Ice Pavilion, Luke Kondub scored and Christian LaBella and Parker Driscoll had assists.

The 5-0 win was made possible by three goals off the stick of Kondub and tallies by Tommy DaPonte and LaBella. Graham Cybart had a trio of assists, LaBella assisted two goals, and Kondub, Ryan Driscoll and Connor Kehlenbach had assists.

Maddex LaFountain was in goal for both games as the Panthers improved to 2-2-2.

The next game is Wednesday, Jan. 15, against New Milford at Canterbury School starting at 8 p.m.
