Monroe Giving Tree needs 143 gifts for families in need

The Monroe Police Department is the drop off location for wrapped gifts for the Giving Tree program, brightening the holidays for families in need.

MONROE, CT — The Monroe Giving Tree Program, which brightens the holidays for town families in need when people generously donate gifts every year, is currently running behind.

In fact, 143 gifts were still available as of Monday morning, according Social Services Coordinator Mary Ann Kalm.

Those who are able to help by purchasing a gift, can click on the link below and sign up for a specific gift. Be sure to scroll through the gift list.

Wrapped gifts with the tag number (i.e. 101A) clearly marked on the outside of the gift should be returned by Friday, December 6, 2024. All gifts should be dropped off at the Monroe Police Department lobby, which is open 24 hours a day.

The deadline to drop off gifts at the Monroe Police Department is Sunday, Dec. 8.
