NEW HAVEN, CT — The best of the best among the state’s swimmers from all school class sizes came together for the State Open at Yale University’s Kiphuth Exhibition Pool on Nov. 17.
Masuk High sent four team members — Lena Savkovic, Lucia Morales, Izabella Murzinska and Skye Eannotti) for two events: 200 medley relay (Savkovic, Morales, Murzinska, Eannotti) and 100 backstroke (Savkovic).
The medley relay finished 20th with a time of 1:56.71, a season best time.
Savkovic came in 22nd in the backstroke race with a time of 1:02.09.
“We had a great turnout for Masuk spectators to cheer the girls on,” Masuk Coach Emily DeMace said. “The girls had a great meet and an amazing season and this was the perfect way to end the season. It’s an incredible meet to watch, and it’s even better to be a part of it.”
