Laura Mustaka Donovan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her

Laura Mustaka Donovan, 66, of Monroe, beloved wife of Kevin Donovan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bridgeport on April 26, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mustaka and Lucy Pucci Mustaka Ciufecu.A Registered Nurse, Laura was employed by Bridgeport Hospital for 43 years. She was an OR nurse for many years and retired as the Orthopedic Coordinator.

In 2013, she received honorary membership into the Connecticut Orthopedic Society; at the time Laura was one of only two nurses inducted to this society.Throughout her career she took great pride in helping her patients and always made them feel comfortable and at ease before and after any surgical procedure. She was an inspiration to many of her colleagues.

Above all she was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and the unconditional love she gave will forever live in their hearts. Laura will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 38 years, Kevin, survivors include her loving sons, Thomas (TJ) Donovan and Michael Donovan. She also leaves to cherish her memory her cousin, who was like a sister, Kathy Hackett and her husband John and their children, Kristine Lebel and Ashley Lupo, who was Laura’s goddaughter, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
