‘An election that determines whether we trust women’

To the Editor,

Do you trust women? I do, and so I believe a woman should have access to abortion, especially in the first trimester or when her life is at risk.

As Beth Cliff’s pastor at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport, I applaud her courage and drive to champion women’s rights as she seeks to represent Easton, Monroe and Trumbull in Hartford.

She and I know that if abortion is banned, many women would still seek it out, just as they did prior to Roe v. Wade. Back then, many women died or suffered terrible injury.

Please vote, and trust women!
