To the Editor:
The following endorsement of incumbent State Representative Tony Scott is in genuine appreciation of his long-standing service to Monroe. For many years Monroe has benefited from the tireless dedication Mr. Scott has shown for our town and other municipalities he serves in an honorable and professional manner.
Tony has consistently gone above and beyond to address local issues in Monroe such as high utility costs, public safety, and unnecessary state mandates. Tony works diligently to bring balance to the Connecticut House of Representatives in his humble yet assertive approach to the high-profile and most important local issues that impact our citizens in their everyday lives.
Throughout the recent 1000-year flood, Tony was at my side talking to many unfortunate homeowners and businesses working tirelessly in a necessary bi-partisan manner with State officials to make sure Monroe had what it needed to start recovery.
State Representative Scott has been consistently elected by the communities he serves in multiple elections and has honored our choice by being there when Monroe has needed him.
Re-electing Tony Scott is simply allowing him to continue the high-quality work and responsiveness we have witnessed during his tenure and I would hope the communities he has served show their appreciation by re-electing Mr. Scott on November 5th.
A vote for Tony Scott will be a vote to continue the transparent neighborly commitment and work that our communities have come to expect and need from our State legislators.
